NETELLER
NETELLER denying service to US citizens
NETELLER, the number one online payment provider, has halted
service completely to US citizens as of January 19th, 2007.
Because of the wake of the
arrest of the founders of NETELLER, and
the latest information regarding the US laws that are being passed
in relation to gambling online, NETELLER has decided to cease all activity between them and the United States.
Players will still
have access to their NETELLER accounts to withdrawal their funds,
however, there will be a 2-3 week delay on processing these
transactions back to their bank and a 4-6 week delay on checks
being sent to the players from NETELLER. There are many unanswered
questions as to whether players will even get their money out of
NETELLER but we believe that NETELLER has no intention on holding
player’s funds.
The problem that is foreseen is the option to cash
any checks from NETELLER in US banks and the banks accepting the
ACH transfers from NETELLER. There will be
more news to come on
this subject but as of right now, Click2Pay is the only option for
players. There are some new sources popping up as of late but the
information is not complete. If players have any questions about their NETELLER funds, they can
call the customer service number located on the site. The wait
time is about 15-20 minutes currently so US players should find
out immediately how to proceed so their on-hold time isn’t
lengthy. Please be advised that players in other countries besides
the US will have no restrictions and business will carry on as
usual.
This pertains to US citizens only. There will be more news
to follow. Posted: January 20, 2007
